In Summer 2019 I was asked to produce a pollinator-friendly planting scheme to complement improvements being made to the terrace at The Seven Tuns in Chedworth whose new owners were passionate about creating a stylish, distinctive pub offering superb hospitality and cuisine in its unique Cotswold setting.

The brief was to provide ‘wow-factor’ colour from spring through to the end of autumn, not just easy evergreen planting. Later in the year we added a specimen crab apple tree in the lawn to be a feature for years to come. Work continued in 2020 and 21 with new planting for the shaded area of terrace behind the willow tree, a beech hedge to screen off the car park from the gardens and replanting the main flower beds at the front with standard hollies, roses and lavender.
